Scrubber Expansion Joints

The term “wet scrubber” is used for a range of devices that removes particulates and gaseous mediums from the flue gas. By forcing the gas stream through a scrubbing liquid to wash the flue gas clean and neutralized the acids. Zepco has considerable experience in engineering scrubber expansion joints to fit your needs.

The term “Dry Scrubbing systems” is somewhat misleading in that the systems also use a wet slurry injection to create a chemical reaction to neutralize the acids in the flue gas. In a dry scrubber there is less reagent and the reaction occurs while entrained in the flow of the flue gas, verses a wet system where the neutralization occurs in wet bottom sump. The process creates a dry waste product that is collected typically in a baghouse.
