A power generation company located in North Carolina had damage to a 15-foot section of an economizer outlet expansion joint. The expansion joint would have to be replaced before the unit could go back on line, which was scheduled in 36 hours.

Zepco received a phone call at 10 am on a Sunday. The plant explained the situation and after further discussion Zepco determined what needed to be done. Within four hours a Zepco field service team arrived on site with the proper materials to fabricate a replacement section.

We fabricated the replacement section, supervised the installation and made the field splice by 4 am. The total time from initial phone call to completion of job was 18 hours.
